
Travertine Stone Type Information
Travertine is a form of limestone originating from quarries in Italy. They give off usually warm neutral tones and will compliment a range of interior design styles. They can be found in homes both interior (polished) and exterior (left on hone). Travertine appears more commonly in a tan like colour but an also appear in beige or various shades of white. They have gained the notoriety as the stone that looks like swiss chesse, pertaining to the holes that come in its raw form. The holes can either be filled or unfilled depending upon it’s placement and use.
