Stone Floor Levelling uneven tiles & lippage removal Brisbane & Gold Coast
Finding Lippage in your freshly laid floor tiles is always frustrating, however, there’s hope for those who have chosen to tile your floors with stone through stone floor levelling / lippage removal. A huge benefit of stone tiles is that many issues that you experience with your surface can be resolved without replacing the hole floor.
Wet resurfacing is a great way to get a level floor. Our experienced stonemasons use floor machines fitted with diamond technology to grind your stone surfaces and achieve a level finish. Resurfacing your floor through this method will also remove scratches, etch marks and worn areas from your stone tiles, leaving you with a like-new finished result.
After resurfacing your stone floors, we seal your stone floor with an appropriate sealer to close the natural pores in the stone surface, helping prevent etching and stains.

What is the stone restoration process?
Before the start of work
We conduct a thorough examination to determine the challenges that your stone poses. Because different stone surfaces have different qualities, knowing which treatments are best for your stone is critical.
Step one protect:
We mask off and protect the surrounding areas of your house or workplace from the cleaning process’s dust and slurry liquids.
Step two cleaning:
We apply the appropriate cleaning solution to your surface, then use our 17-inch cleaning pad on our floor machine to deep clean it.
Step three repair:
We can readily notice any damage the floor has experienced over the years once cleaned. In this phase, we examine for cracks, scratches, chips, stains, lippage, etching, and other damage. After we’ve identified the places needing repair, we’ll fill any holes or chips with the proper filler.
Step four diamond technology:
On our floor and hand machines, we employ diamond pads. The grade of the pads and the number of times we go over the floor are determined by the floor’s current condition. The diamond pads sand down the floor and remove any leftover flaws from step three. The surface can be revived by removing the top layer and returning it to the look and feel it had when it was first put.
Step five finishes:
The next step is to refinish the floor. This is an excellent time to update or try a different type of finish, particularly if your home design has altered since the original installation. If you previously had a mirror high gloss finish, you might want to attempt a flat satin honed look and feel.
Step six sealant:
We use lambswool to seal the stone’s pores with an impenetrable sealant. This sealer penetrates the stone, assisting in preventing stains and other damage caused by contact with liquids and other substances.
