Marble Everlast is based on the Gold Coast and services both residential and commercial clients. Some of the benefits of polishing your stone floors include:

  • Bringing back the natural beauty and rich colour deep within the stone
  • Removing etch marks and scratches
  • Improving stain and scratch resistance
  • Removing lippage in floor tiles
  • Floors are easier to clean and maintain
  • Final sealant applied helps to protect your stone
  • Increased density
  • Improved durability
  • Easier to clean
  • Increased lifespan

What is the full polishing restoration process?

  1. We prep and mask off the area to avoid mess spreading outside of the work zone and to protect the nearby areas of your home
  2. We apply the correct cleaning solution for your stone to perform a deep clean with our 17inch floor machine or hand machine, depending on the surface we are working on
  3. We comb the area looking for any damage or wear to the surface, and we fill as required
  4. We use our 17-inch floor machine with diamond pads to remove scratches, deep scratches, stains, and any excess fill from the previous step
  5. We apply your chosen finish to the surface. Common finishes we are asked for including polishing and honing. This involves going through different grades with the diamond pads until the desired result is achieved
  6. In the last step, we apply a sealant with a lambswool to protect the stone. This step closes the pores and helps to prevent staining and etching

Why polish or hone your stone floors?

Over time your stone floors will become subject to scratches, etching, chips, stains and a build-up of dirt and grime, leaving your stone floors dark and dull. However, hiring a professional to resurface your stone floors can bring them back to life again. At Marble Everlast, we are able to remove and repair stains, etching, chips, cracks, mould and grime. We can even apply your selected finish to have them looking close to the day you bought them. Common finishes we apply include flat-matt, honed, semi-gloss or full-gloss for a mirror finish.

Stone Benchtop Polishing

The day to day usage in most kitchens will expose stone benchtops to substances that can stain or etch their surfaces. These substances include oils, juices, coffee, vinegar and more. Ensuring your surfaces are appropriately sealed is important in preventing etching and staining. However, when your surfaces become stained or dull, you can bring them back to life with professional stone polishing. Through the stone polishing process, we are able to remove scratches, etching, stains and mould. We refinish the surfaces to have them looking like new again.
