Stone Stain Removal Process
The stain removal process is a waiting game and requires a minimum of 2 visits as we apply a special product and let it sit for a couple of days. For stain removal, we use a powder applied in a paste format. We apply the paste to the stained area and cover it with polythene and tape off so that everything is sealed off. The idea behind this is to have it sweat, opening the pores to make the stain rise to the top and come out of the stone. This typically takes 24-48 hours. Once this has been done, we remove the paste and rinse the area with carbon soda.
How to avoid staining?
The best method for stopping stains in your stone surface is prevention by ensuring that your stone surface is sealed regular. Stone surfaces are naturally porous and will suck up liquids or moisture that sits on the stone— regularly sealing your stone ill help to close the pores. However, even with a sealed surface, it’s important to remove liquids quickly and ensure that you regularly clean your surfaces.
